So "the mark" will be a governmental control system, which has been implemented worldwide.
What worldwide governmental systems do we have in place today? The United Nations perhaps or what about the Vatican?
The Vatican is worldwide, but they do not have the physical ability to enforce this kind of a system. Establishments such as the World Economic Forum are more related to best practises and the Council on Foreign Relations is more about advice, rather than enforcing control, possibly even physically or at worst, martially. They are "think tanks" if you will.
Where we are right now, the United Nations does appear to be the prime candidate for "the beast".
God is not a god of confusion, so we can be sure "the mark of the beast" is a control system implemented by a worldwide governmental body.

This sounds very much like the "social scoring" system ALREADY in full operation in China, where those poor citizens can be stopped from travelling and even stopped from entering their own offices to go to work, which in effect stops them being able to earn money and support themselves.
It would be incredibly naive to believe that this could never be implemented elsewhere, we are already seeing the unprecedented use of surveillance under the guise of "national security", so it isn't such a great leap to assume that "the beast" will mesh many systems together that will result in a person's full profile being immediately accessible using a worldwide identification system and utilised to control them and ensure complete compliance.
Bear in mind that Bill Gates (the billionaire eugencist) is already pushing his worldwide "digital vaccine certificate" using the Microsoft platform utilising the emerging Quantum Dot technology where a "mark" that can be seen under a special light using an enzyme called Luciferase. The bottom line is that there is already a worldwide identification system well under way and being popularised / made trendy by the MSM "mocking bird" liars AND look at how quickly "Track and Trace" has been rolled out under the false pretences of a medical emergency (that has a survival rate of over 99.98% btw!!!)

As for the nature of "the mark", we are told that it is a literal and physical "mark" and not something symbolic (as some would have you believe).

It depends on the translation used, some use the word "in" and some use the word "on". Until more of this prophecy is revealed to us by God, the two words are currently interchangeable seeing as a literal mark "on" the skin, would eventually soak "in" anyway, so those that argue this minor point are arguing a mute point, it has physically marked the person's hand or forehead whether it literally goes "in" or it is only superficial.
One must at least accept that if a person's ability to function in society depends upon having this "mark", then it is going to need to be permanent or semi-permanent at the very least.

What could cause a "mark" on or in the skin to become a grievous sore?
There are many things being revealed currently regarding the possibility that the "mark" could very well be the CoVid 19 vaccine being peddled by, once again, Bill Gates (and others of his many paid off cronies and foundations etc.) or at the very least a precursor to it via the "vaccine passport" being peddled recently.
The current research regarding how these vaccines will work is frankly frightening. They are pressing forward, foresaking normal testing and scrutiny, even though we are already hearing of deaths and serious injuries from the willing participants in their rushed experimental trials and rapid roll-out (look into Tiffany Dover for example). It has also come to light that the manufacturers of these rushed vaccines have been granted full immunity from prosecution for any future damages caused by their vaccines! This means that if you take this vaccine and it medically damages you, you CANNOT claim for loss or damages!
One of the current research arms is in using mRNA, which when injected will be used to generate spike proteins they claim will fight the virus. The risk here is that if the mRNA continues to generate too many of those proteins, it could in effect start to over develop and not stop, like cancer. Are we also sure that a foreign mRNA in the body will NOT get reintegrated into the cells and start affecting the original DNA (Transfection)? We can only imagine the consequences of the DNA being corrupted to the point that the body begins to break down and could well be the reason for the recipient breaking out in sores (or worse).
To add credence to this concern, you just have to look at such demonic rituals as the 2021 New Year show at the Needle in Seattle, where they "symbolise" putting a needle into DNA and injecting something, to see that the devil's minions are busy at work TELLING you what they are planning to do to us ALL!

Could this be due to the mRNA updating your DNA and in effect making you no longer human? You would literally become irreversibly a GMO and not human, so is worth serious consideration.
Could this be why God declares them unsaveable? Because they are no longer his creation?

The scientists may well find a way of prolonging life, but it is not of God's creation and is therefore still imperfect and corrupted. No. In several places within the book of Revelation, receiving the mark is always alongside the mention of "worshipping" the beast or an image of the beast.
If you are new to all of this and are concerned that someone could potentially pin you down and (as in Australia even strip you naked) and force you to receive the mark, rest assured that it needs to be taken willingly. You will be offered the option of taking the mark or not.
Think of it this way... Do you really think that God who wants you in eternity with him and who loves you very much and even actually likes you, would place your eternal damnation in the hands of a demonically possessed individual??? Absolutely not! You WILL have a choice!
As can be seen from the passage above however, refusing the mark will more than likely mean you will be beheaded, but don't freak out just yet.
