A QR code can store a lot of information in a smaller area than normal text, all you need is an app on your mobile that uses the camera and can read the QR code and it interprets the code into text. Here is an area that will allow up to 350 characters of free text so that any medic arriving at your "cold dead body" will have some immediate information about you, who to contact and any special requirements you may have, such as wishing to refuse blood for example...
